Vigilance Branch at EIC caters to Vigilance functions in respect of officers/officials posted in Export Inspection Council (EIC) as well as its field offices i.e. Export Inspection Agencies (EIAs) and their sub offices. The Vigilance cases arising out of the public complaints, CBI/Police investigations, preventive vigilance inspection etc. are mainly handled by the Vigilance Branch.
The Vigilance Branch of EIC is headed by Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of the rank of Joint Secretary. The present CVO Shri Anurag Prasad, is an officer of Indian Revenue Service. He is assisted by Vigilance Officer, EIC, New Delhi and Vigilance Officers posted at five EIA Headquarters at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi and Kolkata
